These photos were taken in Lyon before my vacation started (and before the heatwave hit). The look is not too "summerish", but considering the temperatures we are having in Norway at the moment I figured the outfit is still relevant. I love an all-black outfit, but you have to be careful about what pieces you put together in order to keep it interesting. Try to play with different fabrics, cuts and silhouettes and add some color to your nails or make-up. It's all about the contrasts.

New in: Shopping in Toulouse

Wanted to show you some of the treasures I brought back with me from Toulouse. Apparently they have a COS store there... you can see how that ended! Hahah, I just love that brand and their spring/summer collection is really good this year. My credit card limited me to buying two sweaters though (got to think about paying the rent as well..) but could just as well bought the whole store. The dress is amazing - just wait and see. I've been drooling over these oxfords for a while, but when I was about to buy them online they were sold out. I got lucky finding these in my size on sale at Stradivarius. And last but not least, I stopped buy the Jimmy Fairly store in Toulouse where I had fun trying on all their cool shades and got amazing help by the seller. I've been looking for a pair of minimalistic black sunglasses for a loooong time, and these are just perfect ! Classy, but with an edge. You can see me wearing them here. These photos were taken just before I left Lyon ( yep, it's slightly colder in Bodø at the moment). I bought myself some early christmas gifts as I considered I "needed" a new pair of flats and a big everyday bag that can hold all my school books. Well, I actually needed the bag , the leopard printed fur slip ons.... not that much. I've been looking for a pair like this for a while but I just haven't got around to buy a pair before now as I'm trying to stick to my budget, but when I found these at the kids section at Zara for 35€ I just couldn't leave them! They have the exact finish I was looking for and cost a third of all the other pairs I've been looking at up until now. Having tiny feet has its advantages!

The last conspiracy - Chelsea boot

So far, two things have happened this weekend: I picked up these beauties at the post office and I spent my entier Saturday at an education fair/going through all the brochures I came home with. There's not much time left now before I have to start sending in applications! Well, that's why I didn't post this post yesterday.  And the reason why there haven't been a lot post lately is because.. well, you know; I'm working my ass off. BUT due to a serie of lucky events, all my classes are canceled tomorrow and Tuesday is a public holiday in France so I've a well deserved extended weekend. Tomorrow I'm going to Dantesk with some friends. Really looking forward to it!

Anyway, I've been looking for the perfect pair of chelsea boots a long time. When I found these at the last conspiracy on sale for only 80€ I was quick to click them home. The sole on my pair is much darker than the ones pictured at their web-page, but as all their shoes are handcrafted there might be slight variations within a model. Personally I think that's the charm though! If you love them as much as I do, you can  buy them here.

 Due some technical problems I haven't been able to post this post before now. My computer decided to take a break this weekend.. Well, I'm just happy I was able to get it up on its feet again. Might be on time to buy a new one?

Autumn has officially arrived in southern France as well. I really love summer, but nothing's like autumn when it comes to fashion. I'm looking forward to start using my knits and jackets again! Here I'm wearing my "new" cardigan from Only. It works with everything. I've been looking for a plain, cozy long cardigan since... last year ? .. and was super happy when I found this one. It's perfect. You'll probably see it more than once up on the blog this winter. Sorry in advance! hahah

I'd totally forgotten about these photos! They were taken in the end of January so it was about time I got them up on the blog. But better late than never, right? They got me thinking that I should use my lace blouse more often. Weird how we forget about our old clothes as our closet is filling up with new ones.. Should probably take some time to look through what I have. Tonight I'm going to the theatre and afterwards I have to make a quick stop at my place before going to a friend of mine who's hosting a dinner. Enjoying the beautiful weather while walking around town with some friends. I love being able to go out without layering a bunch of jackets and sweaters in order to feel warm. The temperature is perfect for small jackets and blazers. I've been looking forward to using this one alone without something over it for a long time now. And well, I couldn't go anywhere without my new baby. Oh, is it possible to fall in love with a bag ? ..What kind of question is that?  Of course it is.

Tonight a friend from Norway is coming over to sleep at my place. I'm looking so much forward to it! We'll be cooking, eating good food in front of the TV and catching up. Untill then I'll enjoy the rest of a relaxing Saturday morning with yet another cup of tea while gathering courage for all the homework that's waiting for me. When my friend gets here I'm officialy taking free for the rest of the weekend, so I better get started. But first I'll watch another TV serie episode. Just because I have to do something while finishing my tea.

Black and Blue

So this is what I wore yesterday while enjoying the sun. I've missed using my biker jacket, but it has been waaay too cold until now. I'm sure it was the first "warm" day in Lyon since October. Sure, I had to layer the jacket with a warm knit, but it's better than nothing! ...And besides, I like the look. I love mixing textures together. It makes an outfit much more interesting, don't you think? 

Unfortunatly I've been able to take on a fever, which means that I can't dance tonight.. So, no excuse: I have to get a huge amount of some school work done. Better start right away. I hope I'm feeling better tomorrow though. Fingers crossed!
