Chasing pavements

Dress - Sophyline & Co / Bag - Vimoda / Ballerinas - Butterfly Twists / Earrings - Only

I'm absolutely in love with this maxi dress. I never thought I would wear such a... stripy outfit, but after trying this one on I understood the coolness of such a graphical print. I don't know.. there's something to it isn't it ? This is one of those rare cases when I thought a piece of clothing would be too much while it ended up being just right.

I know it can be scary to go all the way with bold prints for us commoners (read everyone except Leandra Medine ), but don't worry! With the right dress you'll be both chic and fabulous instead of feeling like you originate from zebras. Just keep the rest of the outfit simple and the dress will work magic on its own. Vertical lines make you look longer and a maxi-dress can have the same effect. Let's be honest: We wouldn't mind pretending to be a couple of extra centimetres long now would we ?

Pre-summer PVC

Sweatshirt - Bik Bok / Skirt - Only / Bag - Esprit / Shoes - Jeffrey Campbell / Ring - Bjørg

These photos were taken in Lyon before my vacation started (and before the heatwave hit). The look is not too "summerish", but considering the temperatures we are having in Norway at the moment I figured the outfit is still relevant. I love an all-black outfit, but you have to be careful about what pieces you put together in order to keep it interesting. Try to play with different fabrics, cuts and silhouettes and add some color to your nails or make-up. It's all about the contrasts.

Graffiti

Jeans - Levis / Shirt - Second hand / Jacket - Issue 1.3 / Boots - The last conspiracy / Sunglasses - Jimmy Fairly / Necklace - Bjørg / Rings - H&M

Sorry for the lack of posts lately.. I have barely blogged since Milan. Well, I have a good excuse though: it's only two weeks left before the bac. I've basically been working non stop and when I haven't been working I've passed out on the couch while watching a movie or something. It's too bad I've had to put the blogging aside but right now nothing's more important than my finals.. If I get some extra time (and energy) between studying the next weeks I'll try to put up the photos I took with Clara on our weekend trip to Italy. Can't promise anything though! I'll pass my exams from the 17th to the 24th June. Cross all your fingers for me!

These photos were taken a couple of months ago, when it was cool enough outside to wear anything else than a bikini. 33C outside today - that's much more than what a poor norwegian soul can take..

I love a double denim outfit while a patterned shirt make the look a bit more fun and prevents it from getting "too blue". Put on some red lipstick and a cool leather jacket to add some edge and you're good to go!

Standing on the sun

Trench - Zara / Sweater - COS / Skirt and sunglasses - H&M / Boots - Koah / Backpack - Diesel (vintage)

Procrastination: a word that perfectly describes my weekend. I don't know why but I can't get myself to do anything productive (read: studying for the three tests I have next week + my LV3 exam .. ). It's also waaay too long since last blog post. I think I'm suffering from the not-being-able-to-dance-disease due to my lower back problems. Well, hopefully I'll be back on the dancefloor soon! Let's cross our fingers for my finals sake.

Current obsession: big coats, particulary this nordic treasure. Who could possibly resist its amazing color and its perfect fuzziness?

Keep it casual

Cardigan - Only / Pants and scarf - Zara / Sneakers - Nike / Ring (similar here) - vintage market / Earrings - Arts&Crafts

A little more casual than usual, but totally wearable. Some days you're simply not in the mood for heels and tight jeans.. It's a good thing there are so many cool sneakers out at the moment (see the ones I've picked out for you below for example!). In order to prevent the look from being too "dressed down" I went for a pair of tux pants.  I decided to go all grey combining the pants with my favorite cardigan adding just the scarf to break it up a little. Comfortable and stylish, that's a combo I can live with.

Sporting my new sunglasses from Jimmy Fairly in the streets of Toulouse while wearing this super comfy outfit. Classy, soft and warm; love it.
