Portfolio, problems and planes and stuff

At this very moment I'm sitting at my hotel room in Toulouse. I came here late Saturday evening after flying in from Nice where I had a school interview and since then I've been busy eating out and going to museums with the other norwegian girls from my school. Lately I've had some back problems keeping me at home and preventing me from taking my mock exams.. As I've been in a lot of pain I haven't really felt like blogging. Now I'm starting to feel better though and I'll try to get my blog posting up to normal pace. I'll stay in Toulouse until Wednesday, Thursday and Friday I have a couple of interviews as well and Sunday one of my best friends are coming to visit me in Lyon !

New Years Eve

Happy New Year ! I hope you all had a nice celebration and are ready for 2015. May it bring out the best in you! I spent New Years Eve with family and friends. At the beginning of the evening we had our annual family dinner before I went up to Sarah to drink wine and watch the fire works with my best friends. I think we were about 12 over there before going out clubbing. Anyway, I had a great evening/night! The best of it being spending it with my family and these two babes.

I meant to post this yesterday but as I spent the whole morning sleeping in and the rest of the day preparing my portfolio and packing my suitcase I simply didn't have the time... Now I'm sitting at the airport in Munich waiting for my next flight. I can't believe how fast the holidays have passed. I'm preparing a summary of my favorite outfits from 2014 and will post it on the blog this evening. Next time you hear from me I'm in Lyon!

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a merry christmas. I came home to Norway Sunday night and have spent these last few days catching up with friends and family. Yesterday was spent with my parents, my two brothers and my grandmother. The food was great, the mood on top and outside we could even see the northern light. Today I'll spend the day relaxing at home by the fireplace watching movies with my brothers. I've missd them so much ..

I hope you've all spent a great Christmas Eve and that you're enjoying these next couple of days with your closest.

Fast forward

My best friend just asked me what I want for Christmas, and it made me realise that it's only 34 days left and that I haven't as much as thought about looking for gifts yet. I guess (and hope) that I'm not the only one in my situation, so I'll be posting some gift ideas for you as soon as I get the time to look through my favorite web shops.

I've had so much going on lately I haven't had the time to notice how fast the time is passing by. Above you can see some photos I've gathered to recap what I've been up to lately. In the middle you see a little sneak peek on a photoshoot I did with Guillaume a couple of weeks ago. I can't wait to see the result. Dantesk was so much fun by the way! I had a great time with my friends.

Morning

Last week was crazy. It was all about studying and rehersing before this years last exam and our danceshow. I'm quite satisfied with my exam and the show was crazy. Friday night was a blur of costumes, flashing lights and music - Exactly how it's supposed to be. I had so much fun!
When that's said I was dead afterwards so up until now I've mostly been gathering strength by sleeping, watching Sex and the city and eating out with friends. Today though, I'm back in business. I've spent the morning planning blog posts and now I'm heading out for a shooting. I have a dinner tonight, but I'll try to get a blogpost up this afternoon. If I don't get the time, it will be up later tonight (depending on how long the dinner lasts) or tomorrow morning. Promise! So, I'll see you later? Got to run.

Hectic Summer

I'm sorry for the lack of posts these last two weeks. I've had so much to do that I've barely touched my computer since last post. Dancing and studying have taken up all my time. This years grades are set Thursday, and when that's done, all I have left is my french written and oral exam at the end of the month. I don't like to be so slow with the posting, but school and dancing have to come first, you just have to be patient with me!

I still have some photos from Nice to show you - which will, if everything goes after the plan, be up on the blog tomorrow - and photos from my trip to Paris with Denis. Sadly I deleted my photos from Rouen by accident, so you'll have to go to my instagram account if you'd like to see some from my visit there... And I've started to prepare some posts from Lyon as well, so there's a lot coming up as soon as I get some extra time on my hands! I'll try to be as frequent as possible.

Quick update from Paris

I came back from Nice Wednesday, stayed the night in Lyon and arrived in Paris last night. We went to bed early after eating and watching the first half-hour of a movie, so this morning we were up on our feet walking down Boulevard St. Germain at an hour I'm usually asleep when I got a day off. I have a lot of photos to show you from Nice, and I'm sure I'll have plenty from Paris in a couple of days as well. Meanwhile I'm posting a photo from earlier today when Denis and I were at Le Café de Flore taking our morning coffee – just to let you know I'm still alive and that I've started to prepare the blogposts from Nice.  

Weekend visit

So why have I been so absent lately? Right after Vilde Amalie left, my mom and my aunt came to visit me here in Lyon and just days after I went with the norwegian girls to the Alps. I simply didn't have the time to blog in between everything. But now I'm back! Came home yesterday and started to go through all my photos this morning. I have plenty of posts waiting for you.

Here you see some photos from when my mom and aunt came to France on a weekend visit. I had so much fun showing them around in what's been my town for one and a half year now. We've been walking around the city, eating croissants and baguettes, visiting the old town, shopping, dining out and strolling in the park. It was no surprise that my mom wanted to help out her little girl while staying here; now I've got new curtains, pillows for my couch, fresh flowers, a cleaned out appartment and a filled fridge. I can live with that, haha. And did I mention she's made the pillows for me herself? Quite impressive right? Thank you mom!

We've had a lot of fun together. I hope to see them both back in Lyon soon!

Crêperie

As I told you in my last post I had a friend visiting this weekend. She's been staying with one of the other norwegian girls since Monday, but as it's a long time since last time we saw eachother, I decided to kidnap her for lunch earlier today. We ate crêpes at a tiny resturant close Rue de la République and went for a little walk afterwards. Had so much fun! I hope it won't take too long before she's back again.

At the moment I'm just taking a little pause from my schoolwork, but I should probably get back to my chemistry book.. I've got two big test tomorrow.. At least my mother will be here when I'm finished. She and my aunt will be landing at about 18.00 and will be here untill Monday morning. I can't wait to see them again! After one and a half year in France this is the first time someone comes to visit me - might have something to do with the fact that I have my own appartment now, but anyway.. Soooo, you've started to save for plane tickets yet?

Sunday morning

Good morning everyone! I hope you've had a nice weekend. Personally I've had lots of fun, but I'm a bit tired after everything so I'm aiming for a relaxing sunday. Both Friday and Saturday evening were spent in good company, as well as I went out for brunch and some shopping with Henriette yesterday. I've got some photos from last night to show you later but untill then you'll find me lying on my couch watching TV-series, reading magazines and drinking hot chocolate.

This afternoon

I was lucky to be finished at 14.00 today, so I went to a café with some friends. Should probably have been doing math when I first had some extra hours on my hand, but it felt good to forget about schoolwork for a while and enjoy some time off. I took some photos with Alice as well, but I'll save them for later. I got to hurry as my dance classes starts at 19.00 and later tonight I'll have to work as I haven't done anything today. Full outfit post awaits you tomorrow!

Tuesday

Hi guys! So what have I been up to today? Let me tell you: nothing at all. Since yesterday I've been linked to my bed because of fever and an horrible headache. You would think that me being away from school would give me a lot of time for blogging and homework... but no, not at all. My brain feels like mush. The only thing I've been able to do is switching between sleeping, eating and watching TV series - I've even caught myself trying to do all three things at the same time. So yeah... Well, the worst part is actually that I had to cancel on the Jake Bugg consert I've been looking forward to since mid-October and that I'm missing out on the last rehersals before this Sundays danceshow. (And ok then, it's not a good idea to miss out on my classes either...)

Anyway, I hope to be back up on my feet tomorrow! At least feeling good enough to sit in front of my computer. I have a lot of photos from the annual light festival Fête des Lumières who took place last weekend as well as an outfit post to show you! And don't worry about me. Even though this headache is killing me, it's not really that bad. At least I do have a good excuse for eating huge amounts of chocolate.

Weekendtrip to Rouen

This weekend I went to Rouen to attend a conference for the norwegian students in
France. Our train left at 07:00 yesterday morning and we've had a tight schedule from then untill we came back to Lyon this afternoon. It was nice to meet our friends again. As we live in southern France we're not able to meet up with the students from Rouen and Bayeux that often. So, Saturday afternoon was spent at the conference, the evening at a fancy resturant and the night was used for "catching up". I had a good time, but I'm so dead tired I'm seriously considering to go to bed in writing moment (which means at 19:45) even though I don't have classes tomorrow.

Well, anyway, It was my first time visiting Rouen and I think it's a beautiful city. Too bad we didn't have time to see more of it! I was able to take some photos that I wanted to show you. What do you think? I would certainly like to come back again some other time.
