New school, new country and another language

Since the summer started I've been traveling in France with my family (photos coming up!) and moved out of my apartment in Lyon. After coming back home to Norway I've mostly spent my time seeing friends and working at the tourist information. I don't have too many days off, but when I do I go to our familys summerhouse. It feels so good to finally have the time to read a book I actually want to read! At the moment I'm saving up money for next year. Guess what, I'M MOVING TO ITALY. I've been accepted at IED Milano where I'll take their bachelor program in Product Design. The classes and seminars will be held in english, while I'll have italian classes included in the program. After learning french it shouldn't be too hard to learn italian right ?

Anyways I'm really looking forward to studying something that interests me. I decided I wanted to become a product designer several years back in time and it feels so good to finally take my first step in that direction. I can't even describe how exited I am! I've already found an appartement and I bought my plane ticket several weeks ago. I'll leave in the end of September and the days can't possibly pass by any slower.. I'm really super exited about this and not to mention proud over getting in. Definitly worth all the hard work I've put in to it.

Merry Christmas

I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a merry christmas. I came home to Norway Sunday night and have spent these last few days catching up with friends and family. Yesterday was spent with my parents, my two brothers and my grandmother. The food was great, the mood on top and outside we could even see the northern light. Today I'll spend the day relaxing at home by the fireplace watching movies with my brothers. I've missd them so much ..

Fast forward

My best friend just asked me what I want for Christmas, and it made me realise that it's only 34 days left and that I haven't as much as thought about looking for gifts yet. I guess (and hope) that I'm not the only one in my situation, so I'll be posting some gift ideas for you as soon as I get the time to look through my favorite web shops.

I've had so much going on lately I haven't had the time to notice how fast the time is passing by. Above you can see some photos I've gathered to recap what I've been up to lately. In the middle you see a little sneak peek on a photoshoot I did with Guillaume a couple of weeks ago. I can't wait to see the result. Dantesk was so much fun by the way! I had a great time with my friends.

Hectic Summer

I'm sorry for the lack of posts these last two weeks. I've had so much to do that I've barely touched my computer since last post. Dancing and studying have taken up all my time. This years grades are set Thursday, and when that's done, all I have left is my french written and oral exam at the end of the month. I don't like to be so slow with the posting, but school and dancing have to come first, you just have to be patient with me!

I still have some photos from Nice to show you - which will, if everything goes after the plan, be up on the blog tomorrow - and photos from my trip to Paris with Denis. Sadly I deleted my photos from Rouen by accident, so you'll have to go to my instagram account if you'd like to see some from my visit there... And I've started to prepare some posts from Lyon as well, so there's a lot coming up as soon as I get some extra time on my hands! I'll try to be as frequent as possible.

Tuesday

Hi guys! So what have I been up to today? Let me tell you: nothing at all. Since yesterday I've been linked to my bed because of fever and an horrible headache. You would think that me being away from school would give me a lot of time for blogging and homework... but no, not at all. My brain feels like mush. The only thing I've been able to do is switching between sleeping, eating and watching TV series - I've even caught myself trying to do all three things at the same time. So yeah... Well, the worst part is actually that I had to cancel on the Jake Bugg consert I've been looking forward to since mid-October and that I'm missing out on the last rehersals before this Sundays danceshow. (And ok then, it's not a good idea to miss out on my classes either...)

Anyway, I hope to be back up on my feet tomorrow! At least feeling good enough to sit in front of my computer. I have a lot of photos from the annual light festival Fête des Lumières who took place last weekend as well as an outfit post to show you! And don't worry about me. Even though this headache is killing me, it's not really that bad. At least I do have a good excuse for eating huge amounts of chocolate.

Weekend update and a new header

Yesterday Siri and I went shopping. After we'd realized that what we were looking for at Galeries Lafayettes weren't sold in Lyon we got desperate and decided to find something stylish and unuseful at Part Dieu to confort ourselves. Bad idea. Do not, under any circumsances even think of going there a Saturday afternoon. It's horrible. After three hours in there we realized we wouldn't find anything of interest and went home in pouring rain. 

So last night we decided we deserved a treat. Therefore we ended up drinking wine in our livingroom while listening to music and filling a shoppingbag at Asos full of nice things we don't really need but had to have anyway. Much better than Part Dieu and a very successful Saturday night. 

The best thing is that Asos has a big sale at the moment, so there's still enough money left for a new wintercoat. Hopefully, the packet will be here Tuesday. I'll show you what's inside as soon as it gets here!

And this is what I've been doing today. Updating my playlists, drinking tea and enjoying a day without too much homework (though I still have a bit to do for tomorrow). I've orderd tickets with Siri and Henriette to Jake Buggs concert in Lyon in december (can't wait!!!) and made a new header for the blog. What do you think ?

Now I'll just have to finish a couple of choreographies for a hip hop crew in Bodø, and then I can say I've had a very productive non-productive day. 

So there's still a lot of things to do in the apartment, but we're slowly getting there. Here you have todays view: "The bloggers nest". I still need to decorate, but at least I've gotten all the furnitures I need for my room. I'll post picures of the rest of the apartement as soon as we've had the time to throw out all the boxes with old things who's taking up place in the livingroom.

Vieux Lyon

Today I've been strolling around town with a friend, avoiding the fact that I have a load of homework waiting for me on my desk. It was nice to get my mind on something else than mathematics and physics. We went to the old quarter of Lyon where we ejoyed  the sun and ate ice-cream at a little resturant hidden from the tourist masses. We took some pictures as well, but as we're getting ready to watch a film I'll post them tomorrow instead. See you here then ?

First update from my new apartment

You guys have no idea how much I've been stressing since I came to Lyon. Electricity, hot water, bills, orders, Ikea, internet.. There's a lot to do when you've just moved in to a new apartment! It didn't bother me too much to live four days without elecricity - under the condition that I was able to charge my phone at a friends house - but living for almost two weeks without internet ? Horrible.

Exept the fact that I've been running around like a crazy-person, trying to fix a hundred things at the same time, I've enjoyed coming back to Lyon. I've met my new friends again, the weather is great, my dance classes have started up, and I'm living in my own appartment. Yes I've already said that, and I'll continue saying it until I've gotten used to it - it might take a while. I'll get my bed and washing machine saturday morning, and wifi the 20th. Let's just say that I'm looking forward to it.

Now that I've got 3G on my phone I'm finally able to post some updates (until my monthly internet limit is reached). I've got one post for you tomorrow about the nice things I found when I was shopping at the aeroport in Munchen, and another interesting post planned for the weekend - so stay tuned!
