Make-up essentials

I'm a girl. That means that I do have a lot of make-up. As most other girls, I have waaaay much more than what I really needs and most of it is only taking up space in my make-up bag "just in case". After I moved to France and started to travel a lot, I quickly understood that dragging along 2kg make-up is both unnecessary as I don't use it and taking up valuable "shoe-space" in my suitcase. So, after cleaning up this is what's left. It is everything I need for no matter which occation. I only switch out the nail polishes when I'm tired of the colors. The only thing missing in these photos are the rest of my make-up brushes. I've decided to invest in small travel sized brushes in good quality. Genius. Now I'm able to put everything I need in this little thing.

Stay-matte sheer pressed powder - Clinique / Magic concealer - Helena Rubinstein / Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant Stick (Honey) - Elisabeth Arden / Shocking Lashes Mascara - YSL / Eyeliner - Bare Minerals / Les 4 Ombres Eyeshadow palette (42 Séduction) - Chanel / Eyebrow kit - Benefit Cosmetics / Brushes (here, here and here) - Bare Minerals and Kiko

Eyeshadow palette (Smoky Design) - Dior / Definition Eyeliner - Kiko / Lipstick (120 Red en Vogue) - Lancôme / Nailpolish (Sugar Daddy and Clambake) - Essie / Necklace - Dyreberg Kern / Lipgloss  (Brilliant Lévres 78) - Chanel / Lip brush - Kiko

Sneak peek

I thought I'd try something different from my normal outfit posts, so tonight I'm letting you in on my make-up essentials for both day and evening. I hope you'll find it interesting. If you have an idea about something else you'd like to read about on the blog feel free to let me know about it! The next post will be up within some hours. Now I have to run so I don't get late for my dance class. I'll see you back here tonight ?

I have now created a facebook page for the blog! Click here to like it <3

Weekend update and a new header

Yesterday Siri and I went shopping. After we'd realized that what we were looking for at Galeries Lafayettes weren't sold in Lyon we got desperate and decided to find something stylish and unuseful at Part Dieu to confort ourselves. Bad idea. Do not, under any circumsances even think of going there a Saturday afternoon. It's horrible. After three hours in there we realized we wouldn't find anything of interest and went home in pouring rain
So last night we decided we deserved a treat. Therefore we ended up drinking wine in our livingroom while listening to music and filling a shoppingbag at Asos full of nice things we don't really need but had to have anyway. Much better than Part Dieu and a very successful Saturday night.

The best thing is that Asos has a big sale at the moment, so there's still enough money left for a new wintercoat. Hopefully, the packet will be here Tuesday. I'll show you what's inside as soon as it gets here!

And this is what I've been doing today. Updating my playlists, drinking tea and enjoying a day without too much homework (though I still have a bit to do for tomorrow). I've orderd tickets with Siri and Henriette to Jake Buggs concert in Lyon in december (can't wait!!!) and made a new header for the blog. What do you think ?

Now I'll just have to finish a couple of choreographies for a hip hop crew in Bodø, and then I can say I've had a very productive non-productive day.

So there's still a lot of things to do in the apartment, but we're slowly getting there. Here you have todays view: "The bloggers nest". I still need to decorate, but at least I've gotten all the furnitures I need for my room. I'll post picures of the rest of the apartement as soon as we've had the time to throw out all the boxes with old things who's taking up place in the livingroom.

Enjoy the rest of  your Sunday!

Airport shopping

High impact mascara (Black) , Chubby stick (04 heftiest hibiscus) and Stay-matte sheer pressed powder (101 invisible matte) - Clinique / Magic concealer - Helena Rubinstein

Some refill for my make-up bag and a bit inspiration came home with me from Munchen. The powder from Clinique and the concealer from Helena Rubinsein are my personal essentials when it comes to facial make-up. They work magic. As long as I have these two products (and a good moisturizer) I don't need anything else for my skins moring ritual.

After my bestfriend strongly recommended the Chubby stick I decided to give it a try - and I love it. It has great hold and the color is amazing. I'll show you how it looks on later.
The mascara is a sample from Clininque. I'm a bit skeptical to it as I doubt it can be any better than the mascara I usually use (YSL - Shocking lashes), but I'll give it a try. I'll let you know what I think when I've tried it on.

Fashionary womens edition - Fashionary / The complete fashion sketchbook - Martin Dawber

After killing some time at the Taxfree I went to CEDON wich is an amazing little shop with lots of design books and cool decoration objects. I just had to have these two. Fashionary is a sketchbook with semi-transparent templates of figures on each page, and The complete fashion sketchbook is an inspirational book with creative ideas on how to make the most out of a fashion sketchbook. So yeah, I've planned to improve my drawing skills.

I really like to read fashion blogs and I use alot of time searching for inspiration online, but there is something about having a real book between your hands. Don't you think? The complete fashion sketchbook will fit perfectly in to my little collection. Please let me know if you have some good ideas on other fashion/design/photography books I might like to read!
