Corsica - Photo diary

Here are the photos from our trip to Corsica ! We had a great time. The weather was nice and the island is such an idyllic place. We stayed in Ajaccio which is the capital city of Corsica, where I spent most of my time relaxing with the girls. I went a couple of times to the beach ( which is great by the way ) , but exept that I wandered around in the streets, went to cafés and enjoyed the sun. We also went to a couple of museums and got a bus tour, and Wednesday we took a ferry down to Bonifacio which is a beautiful small city in the south of the island. 

It was really nice to get away from all the schoolwork and gather forces for all the exams that lays ahead. If you're looking for a relaxing place by the sea for your next vacation I would definetly recommend you to give Corsica a try !

Toulouse

Last week I went to Toulouse with the norwegian girls at my school and I wanted to a couple of photos from our trip with you. We went to museums, visited the medieval city Carcassonne and got a tour at a university. As we didn't have a full-packed program we found ourselves with a lot of free time which I spent relaxing at the hotel and walking around the city with some of the girls - basically meaning eating, drinking coffee and doing some serious shopping. It was really nice spending a vacation together without running between tourist attractions, this giving us time to get to know the new girls and recharge after an intense trimester. Now I'm back in Lyon with one of my best friends from Norway who flew in to visit me for the week. I have a lot of city to show her and many resturants to explore so the photos of the result of my little shopping spree in Toulouse will have to wait until later!

Chamonix - Winter vacation in the Apls

Here's some photos from when I was in Chamonix with the norwegian girls who's studying in Lyon with me. Let's be clear about one thing before you continue: this is the first and the last time you'll ever see me in wool underwear. Well, when that's said, I hope you'll enjoy the post. I used a lot of time putting it together so you better! Haha

During six days we've been switching between ski tracks, cafés and after ski bars. The weather was beautiful (let's just ignore the two days when the sky was gray and it snowed so much we couldn't see our own feet), the pistes were amazing and the mood on top. We've been visiting Aiguille du Midi and taken the Montenvers rack railway as well as walking around the city. As you may have seen in one of the photos above, I've even found myself a new bag! Who knew skiing would be that much fun?

That was the first week of my winter vacation, and the rest of it will be spent in Lyon. Would have loved to go back to Norway and see my friends and family again, but it's nice to have some quiet days before starting up again. Honestly, all the school work has been quite exhausting lately. After only a couple of days of doing nothing at all, I already feel better. The fact that the sun is shining and that we'll have 15°C all week helps as well (especially when the weather report is warning about extreme weather in Norway, hehe).
